Best CBSE school management software in India

Short answer

There is no single best school management software for every CBSE school. The right choice depends on your size, budget, and which problems cost you the most time. Shortlist two or three platforms that cover CBSE report cards, fees, admissions, and a parent app in one system, check how each handles the 2026 CBSE changes, and insist on a live demo with your own data before you sign.

Search for "best CBSE school management software" and most results are written by vendors ranking themselves first. This guide is also written by a vendor, so we will be upfront: ToGather LMS is one of the options below. We have tried to describe every product fairly, using what each company says on its own website.

Product details were checked in October 2026. Features and prices change, so confirm everything with the vendor before you decide.

What has changed for CBSE schools in 2026

Before comparing software, it helps to know what your system will need to handle. A few recent CBSE changes affect school records and reporting:

  • Two board exams for Class 10. From 2026, CBSE holds Class 10 board exams twice a year. The first sitting is mandatory and the second is optional, for students who want to improve their scores. That means two result cycles to track (Business Standard).
  • APAAR ID. CBSE has asked schools to record students' APAAR IDs during board registration, and news reports say this becomes mandatory for Classes 9 to 12 from 2026–27 (Careers360). Your software should store it with each student's record.
  • Holistic Progress Card (HPC). Under NEP 2020, report cards are moving beyond marks to cover the whole child. PARAKH (under NCERT) designed the HPC, and CBSE has been rolling it out stage by stage (PARAKH).
  • UDISE+ and OASIS data. Affiliated schools are expected to keep student, staff, and infrastructure data updated on these government portals. Clean records in your own system make this much easier.

Always check the latest circulars on cbse.gov.in, as dates and details can change.

What CBSE school software should do

Use this as your shortlist checklist:

  • Report cards in CBSE format, including grading and holistic progress cards
  • Student records with the fields CBSE and UDISE+ ask for, including APAAR ID
  • Fee structures, receipts, discounts, and reminders (ideally online payment too)
  • Admissions pipeline from enquiry to enrollment
  • Attendance for students and staff, ideally synced with biometric devices
  • Transport routes, stops, and fees
  • One parent app for attendance, homework, results, fees, and transport
  • Clear answers on data privacy, especially for Aadhaar and other sensitive data

The options in more detail

Entab CampusCare

One of the longest-running school ERPs in India. Its site lists a full suite (student information, fees, exams, admissions, transport, library, lesson planning, and a parent app) and mentions a Holistic Progress Card "as mandated by CBSE and NEP 2020". A good fit for schools that want an established vendor with many references. Pricing is on request. entab.in

Fedena

A widely used platform with 100+ modules and one of the few with public pricing (Standard ₹50,000, Premium ₹75,000, Ultimate ₹1,00,000 per year plus GST, with unlimited users, per its pricing page). Its CBSE-specific features are less prominent on the site than some India-only vendors, so check report card formats in a demo. fedena.com

Teachmint

Now leads with its interactive classroom panels (Teachmint X) alongside a school platform covering admissions, fees, attendance, homework, and reporting. Worth a look if you are also buying classroom hardware. We did not find CBSE-specific report card claims on its site. teachmint.com

MyClassboard

A broad ERP with finance, admissions CRM, HR and payroll, LMS, hostel, and inventory. It lists separate gradebooks for State/CBSE, IB, and Cambridge, plus a holistic report card. A fit for schools that want many modules from one vendor. myclassboard.com

Schoolyam

Positions itself specifically for CBSE and ICSE schools, with one-click board report cards, holistic cards, and CBSE relative grading for Classes 10 and 12 mentioned in its FAQ. Pricing is module-wise, so you pay for what you use. Payroll covers Indian statutory deductions. schoolyam.com

Edunext

Used by large school groups and supports multiple boards (CBSE, CISCE, IB, IGCSE). It can import CBSE result files for analysis and offers a free CBSE result-analysis tool. Strong for chains that need central control across many branches. edunexttechnologies.com

Skolaro

Offers 50+ modules with a single per-student price that includes everything, plus pre-built report card templates for CBSE, ICSE, and other boards. Implementation and data migration are included according to its FAQ. skolaro.com

ToGather LMS

Our platform. ToGather puts teaching and operations in one system: classes, attendance, homework, tests, and CBSE report cards including the holistic progress card, alongside fees with online payment (UPI and cards) and reminders, admissions, transport, staff with biometric attendance, and parent tickets. Principals get an AI briefing every evening summarising attendance, fees, and open issues, and parents get one app for everything.

Because everything sits on one student record, a confirmed admission flows straight into the right class, fee structure, and parent app, and report cards draw on the same attendance and assessment data teachers already enter. Bring a sample of your current report card to the demo and we will show you the CBSE version in ToGather.

How to pick the right one for your school

  • Small or single-campus school: favour simple setup, a good parent app, and transparent pricing.
  • Growing school with admissions pressure: look hardest at the admissions pipeline and fee reminders. See our admissions guide.
  • School chain: prioritise multi-branch reporting and central control.
  • Board exam classes: test CBSE report cards, result handling, and APAAR fields with real data.

Whichever you choose, avoid buying from slides. Ask each vendor to walk through your real problems in the live product, and speak to a school of similar size that already uses it.
